Largest selection of ceiling manufacturers for fire dampers in suspended ceilings available

Further suspended ceilings for FKU30 and FKU90 fire dampers tested & use of the approval simplified

We have expanded our range of suspended ceilings in which our FKU30 and FKU90 fire dampers can be installed. Successful new and extension tests were carried out with Aestuver, Knauf and Lindner. With 11 tested manufacturers for suspended ceilings, we now offer you the widest possible choice.

The use of the approval of fire dampers for suspended ceilings has been simplified. All suspended ceilings are now summarized in the general building authority approval Z-41.3-714 for FKU30 and FKU90. We are also the only manufacturer to offer a current approval for F90 ceilings.

Z-41.3.714 contains suspended ceilings made of the following panel building materials:

  • 30 minutes fire resistance (FKU30 fire damper):
    • made of gypsum: Saint-Gobain Rigips, Knauf and Etex (Siniat division)
    • made of gypsum fiber: James Hardie (Fermacell division)
    • made of mineral fiber: OWA Odenwald
  • 90 minutes fire resistance duration (FKU90 fire damper):
    • made of calcium silicate: Etex (Promat division)
    • made of gypsum: Saint-Gobain Rigips, Etex (Siniat division), Knauf and James Hardie (Aestuver division)

Metal suspended ceilings are also included in Z-41.3.714:

  • with 30 minutes fire resistance duration:
    • Fural “metal drop-down system” and “insert system” F30
    • Etex, Promat 420.96 division with and without frieze
    • Lindner LMD F30 type 3, 4, 8, 9, 10 with and without frieze
  • with 90 minutes fire resistance:
    • Fural “F90 metal folding system”

Lindner metal ceilings have been integrated into Z-41.3-714 since June 2024 (LMD30 type 3, 4, 8, 9, 10). This means that the FKU30 fire dampers can be used in these suspended ceilings without size restrictions.
