FK90 fire damper for overflow openings (Ü-FK)
The FK90 fire damper, in combination with a smoke release device as a closure for overflow openings, ensures that the fire damper closes early when smoke is detected or when the release temperature is reached. This reliably prevents the spread of smoke even at temperatures below the trigger temperature of the fire damper.

Product details
In conjunction with the OR4 or OR32 smoke release device and protective grilles on both sides, the FK90 fire damper is used as a system solution for closing overflow openings. The combination serves as a closure in fire-resistant interior walls or ceilings if openings are required for the purpose of air flow. The system solution is approved by the DIBt (German Institute for Building Technology).
FK90 for overflow openings with OR4 or OR32 smoke release device
The FK90 fire damper is available with either a pre-assembled OR4 or OR32 smoke release device for closing overflow openings. The OR4 or OR32 smoke release devices are protected in the housing extension.
Wide and time-saving installation options
The FK90 fire damper has been tested in numerous installation situations. The OR4 or OR32 smoke release device can be installed in a wide variety of positions and directions. The installation flexibility is enhanced by the option of positioning the actuator at the top, bottom or side of the fire damper. It is particularly suitable for confined installation situations. On request, the OR4 smoke release device can be pre-assembled at the factory, saving valuable time during installation.
Product labelling of the Ü-FK overflow opening solution
The system solution for overflow openings with the FK90 fire damper has DIBt approval (general type approval). The FK90 fire damper has both an EPD (Environmental Product Declaration) and CE labelling. In addition, the FK90 has been awarded a hygiene certificate by an independent hygiene institute.

FAQ
The 92 series fire dampers are maintenance-free. Due to their design and the materials used, such as the complete encapsulation of the actuator mechanics, the thermal release device, the motorized actuators, etc., they can do without ongoing maintenance work to maintain their function. Periodic lubrication, for example, is not required. Maintenance is thus limited to functional checks (triggering and reopening of the fire dampers) or repair measures in the event of damage. Hygienic cleaning must be carried out as part of the overall cleaning of the ventilation and air-conditioning system or as required.
Due to the fact that the system is maintenance-free, functional checks may also be carried out remotely. This can be carried out particularly easily and economically via the Wildeboer BS2 communication system for fire dampers with automatic calendar control.
Overflow openings ensure the flow of air between two nearby rooms, e.g. for the ventilation of interior corridors and rooms or for air supply. If overflow openings are provided in fire-resistant walls or ceilings, it must be possible to close them properly. Fire dampers with a smoke release device without connection to a ventilation duct are used here. In the event of a fire, they close the opening and thus prevent the spread of fire and smoke. With the FK90 and FR90 fire damper in combination with OR4 or the OR32 smoke release device, Wildeboer offers solutions with the necessary general type approval from the German Institute for Building Technology, which is required for use in Germany.
