Nominated for the IFOY AWARD 2025: Wildeboer relies on smart automation

More efficiency, more flexibility: Our automated transport solution in Weener is in the running for the IFOY AWARD 2025 - realised by Jungheinrich and MHP.

An intelligent transport solution that is used in our new logistics centre in Weener has been nominated for the IFOY AWARD 2025 in the ‘Integrated Customer Solution’ category. The solution was developed by Jungheinrich in collaboration with MHP - A Porsche Company and is now successfully in live operation at Wildeboer. Together, we are demonstrating how modern intralogistics can be organised efficiently, flexibly and future-proof across 60,000 m² of production space.

The idea behind the project

In the new logistics centre, autonomous vehicles take over the internal ‘last mile’. These mobile robots move both small and large load carriers through the plant - around the clock, highly productively and safely. At the heart of the system is an open fleet management system that coordinates all vehicles - regardless of manufacturer.

Take a look now: Our automation solution in use

The highlights at a glance:

  • AGVs of the ERC 213a and Magazino SOTO type bring noticeably more efficiency and increased productivity to the transport of GLTs and KLTs.
  • Control via the MHP FleetExecuter with open VDA 5050 interface
  • Smooth process in man-machine operation
  • Scalable and expandable - even at short notice
  • Relief for employees with ergonomically demanding tasks

More flexibility. More efficiency. More future.

The combined use of two different robot types within a central system placed high demands on the technology - and was successfully realised by the MHP FleetExecuter in conjunction with the Jungheinrich Logistics Interface. The system handles over 100 transports per hour and can be flexibly expanded at any time - a clear advantage, especially in times of a shortage of skilled labour.

‘Automation is a logical step for us to remain competitive in the long term and to relieve our teams in a targeted manner.’
- Marcel Stephan, Head of Intralogistics at Wildeboer

What makes the solution special?

Technical realisation:

  • KLT transports by the mobile robot SOTO
  • GLT transports by several ERC 213a
  • Controlled by the MHP FleetExecuter
  • Networking via Jungheinrich Logistics Interface

Special strengths:

  • High process reliability thanks to safety and localisation systems, 3D cameras and laser scanners
  • Real-time tracking of material flows
  • One central tool for different vehicle types
  • High flexibility during production peaks and day-to-day business

Test days running

From 24 to 27 March 2025, our solution will undergo an official audit by the IFOY jury. Among other things, the innovative strength, practicality and efficiency of the solution will be assessed. The winners will be announced on 3 July 2025 - we are looking forward to the result and are keeping our fingers crossed!

A big thank you to our partners Jungheinrich and MHP for their trusting cooperation!
