KS2-MO-04 motor-module

The KS2-MO-04 motor module is used in the KS2 compact control unit to connect, for control and monitor up to six fire, louver or smoke dampers with 230V AC or 24V DC/AC spring return motors and integrated limit switches. 

Motor modules monitor the operation of these dampers by checking their functionality through automatic function runs. The dampers are completely closed and completely opened again. The running times of the motors are measured and logged in a fail-safe manner, and changes are detected. All inputs and outputs of the KS2 motor module can be integrated into calendar controls. The function tests can thus be carried out automatically at defined times or at fixed intervals. Functional tests on site can thus be replaced. An exception to this is the testing according to the testing regulations of the federal states.

In order to guarantee the internal isolation of a building in case of fire, other fire dampers often have to close when a fire damper or smoke detector is triggered. For this purpose, trigger groups are formed. The inputs and outputs of the KS2-MO-04 can be integrated into trigger groups with little effort. The control scenarios required for internal partitioning to keep smoke out, as prescribed by building regulations, can thus be parameterised quickly and flexibly.
