KS2-CPU-01 main control unit

The KS2-CPU-01 is the main control unit of the KS2 compact controller. In combination with the KS2-PS-01 the basic structure offers the possibility of connecting 8 peripheral modules. The connection to other Wildeboer-Net system components can be established via the LAN interfaces of the CPU module with integrated switch. This makes it possible to create a simple and effective building system control for fire protection components and ventilation components.

Technical details

  • Membrane keypad for operation

  • LED operating displays

  • LAN interfaces with integrated switch for easy integration with other Wildeboer-Net system components

  • Galvanically isolated digital inputs

  • Galvanically isolated multifunctional parameterizable inputs for the implementation of line monitoring or as an extension of the digital inputs

  • Integrated signal relay outputs

Product details

The CPU module is the main control unit of the KS2 compact controller. The modul enables priority operation for example of fire dampers on site via the membrane keypad and the OLED display. Via LAN interfaces with an integrated switch, the CPU module of the KS2 compact control creates the connection to the other Wildeboer-Net system components:

  • Wildeboer-Net software WiNet-SW-02 and the WiNet-ZB-03 connected to it or a PC provided by the customer.
  • WiNet-GW gateways
  • up to 31 additional KS2-CPU-01 main control unit or BS2-SC-02 subnet controller

Connection options

The four galvanically isolated multifunctional inputs and outputs of the CPU module of the KS2 compact control offer flexible connection options and thus a extremely variable adaptability to the requirements to the building systems technology.

The integration of a wide variety of inputs/outputs on the main control unit enables the user to connection of a wide variety of sensors or actuators. Additional peripheral modules and therefore costs for I/O modules, for example, can be effectively saved. The flexible connection options of the module thus offer a wide range of solutions to meet the requirements of building system technology:

  • Fire dampers with thermal-mechanical release device
  • Fire protection valves
  • Sensors and actuators
  • Interface to building management system and/or fire alarm control panel
  • monitored, wired transmission paths

In order to ensure the internal isolation of a building in the event of fire, other fire dampers often have to close when a fire damper or smoke detector is triggered. For this purpose, trigger groups are formed. The inputs and outputs of the multifunctional IO interface of the KS2-CPU-01 can be integrated into trigger groups with little effort. The control scenarios required for the internal partitioning to keep smoke out, as prescribed by building regulations, can thus be parameterised quickly and flexibly.

Additionally all inputs and outputs can be integrated into calendar controls in order to carry out the automatic execution of product-specific actions at defined times or at fixed intervals.

The KS2 compact control unit - as part of the overall Wildeboer-Net system - is used to control and monitor fire protection and ventilation components in buildings. Get to know all the advantages of our new product here.

Optional accessories

Two top-hat rail connectors connect the peripheral bus of the modules to each other if they are installed on different DIN top-hat rails. The two top-hat rail connectors are connected by using a pre-assembled P-Net cable.

The line termination is used to connect the resistor combinations for cable monitoring easily.
